- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using a modern screen reader and speech recognition software (on your computer or phone)
Compliance status
Based on our latest assessment, this website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons.
Images and media
Some images and image links lack meaningful alternative text (WCAG 1.1.1).
Some pre-recorded videos do not include captions (WCAG 1.2.2).
Structure and semantics
Some headings and lists are not marked up correctly, affecting screen-reader navigation (WCAG 1.3.1).
Some data tables do not correctly associate header and data cells (WCAG 1.3.1).
Some page regions (for example, navigation areas) do not have unique labels (WCAG 1.3.1, 4.1.2).
On some pages, a “skip to content” link is present but the target is missing or not focusable (WCAG 2.4.1).
Keyboard and focus
Some interactive elements cannot be reached or operated using a keyboard (WCAG 2.1.1).
In places, focus order is duplicated (e.g. within the mega-menu) (WCAG 2.4.3).
The visible focus indicator is faint or removed on some elements (WCAG 2.4.7).
Links and controls
Some links lack descriptive text (e.g. multiple “read more” links) (WCAG 2.4.4).
Some links rely on colour alone to be identifiable (WCAG 1.4.1).
Some links are coded without valid destinations or are used as buttons, making behaviour unclear (WCAG 4.1.2).
Certain expandable controls do not convey their expanded/collapsed state to assistive technologies (WCAG 4.1.2, 4.1.3).
Colour and contrast
Some text and non-text elements do not meet minimum contrast ratios (WCAG 1.4.3, 1.4.11).
Hover, focus and motion
Some content that appears on hover or focus (e.g. menus/popovers) is not persistent, dismissible or keyboard-operable (WCAG 1.4.13).
Some moving or auto-updating content cannot be paused, stopped or hidden (WCAG 2.2.2).
Names, roles and relationships
Some ARIA roles/attributes are used incorrectly, required child elements are missing, or IDs are duplicated (WCAG 4.1.2, 4.1.3).
In a few places, label elements are nested, causing incorrect announcements (WCAG 4.1.2).
Content that is out of scope (exemptions)
PDFs published before 23 September 2018.
Video or audio published before 23 September 2020.
Third-party content not under our control (for example, embedded maps, social media feeds).
These exemptions reflect the EU Web Accessibility Directive scope, which we adopt as good practice.
